Elementary Garden/Nutrition Educator
We're looking for an experienced educator to lead weekly garden and nutrition classes for elementary students.

You'll plan and deliver hands-on garden and nutrition classes in collaboration with classroom teachers at one or more elementary partners, build relationships with students and staff, help develop curriculum, and steward a small school-based garden.
- Plan and prepare seasonally appropriate garden and nutrition lessons
- Modify lessons for different grade levels, English Learners, and students with IEPs or 504 plans
- Maintain, organize, and possibly expand a small or mid-sized school garden
- Coordinate with PTA, principals, and District Buildings & Grounds staff
- Run end-of-year evaluation surveys and contribute to reporting
What you'll need to succeed
- At least 3 years working with elementary-aged children in outdoor learning environments
- Experience stewarding an edible garden: planting, crop rotation, harvesting, pruning, irrigation, and seasonal plant needs
- A can-do attitude and the ability to problem solve with limited supervision
- Comfort collaborating with parents, custodial staff, principals, district leadership, and partner organizations
- Bilingual in Spanish preferred
